This is the last set of exercises you will do for your 30 days challenge!

If you start to feel dizzy or tired, make sure to stop!

Explore and jog with Ms.Yuri

Hello Everybody!

Today is the 6th day of Flashy Feet Fridays. How are your feet and legs doing? Are they getting faster and stronger? Can you feel it?

For today’s practice, I will put in different counts and times for each exercise and we won’t be using any obstacles to jump over today too. It might be hard at first but I know you have gotten stronger with all our training. Afterwards, we will finish up with a challenging jump! Are you ready for it? Lets Go!!

20 Star jumps

20 seconds Fast feet

20 bunny jumps in place

30 seconds rest

20 high Knees in place (10 per leg)

16 skater jumps

20 seconds fast feet figure 8

1 minute rest

5 Tuck jumps

5 Pike jumps (you can rest in between each jump)

Some tips for the pike jump:

-remember the steps jump-kick-touch your toes

-swing your arms to jump up high

-Take a quick rest if your legs are getting tired

Remember to always be safe when practicing our moves. You can do them with music or have someone join you for your exercise. And always remember to have fun!

Thanks for exercising today!!  The days are getting warmer.  Remember to have a drink of water in-between and after your exercises to stay safe and healthy.  Also, wash your hands, eat healthy and exercise every day!   See you next week!!

5 Year Olds ~ Pre-First Graders (in Mr. Dale and Mr. Myk’s group)

Hello everyone!

Today is day five of Flashy feet Fridays!

Before we get started, I wanted to know how last week’s jumping practice went. Was it too hard or quite easy? Did you feel your legs get stronger with each jump you practiced? I hope everyone enjoyed their jumping time.

For today’s Flashy Feet practice, we will be focusing on moving sideways. It might be hard to balance at first because we are used to only moving forwards or backwards. Moving sideways can start out slowly and get stronger and faster as we improve with our practice. You can try out each movement as many times as you want until you get the hang of moving sideways with good balance.

Here is our sideways list:

Fast feet 8 shape

Sideways high knees

In and out step

Sideways jump

Skater Jumps

Sideways hop

Have fun practicing your sideways movement! Remember to practice safely and always be careful!

We hope you enjoyed your P.E./Movement class for today.  Continue eating well, washing your hands properly and EXERCISE!

Friday, May 22nd ~ Ms. Sallie’s Storytime

Hello everybody,

Do you have nights when you cannot sleep?  What do you do? Do you imagine things or do you count something?  Many people count sheep.  Come and listen to a story called Counting Sheep by Dr. Julie Glass, illustrated by Mike Wohnoutka.  Are you ready, don’t fall asleep!!

Counting Sheep by Julie Glass | Scholastic              Counting Sheep – Click here to view.

Most people count sheep when they cannot sleep (one sheep, two sheep, three sheep, and so on…)

* What did this man count and how many?

* What else do you want to count?

* Can you practice counting things by twos? (2, 4, 6, 8, 10)

* When you count normally by ones, how far can you count to?

Next time you can’t sleep, try counting sheep or something else and tell us in your comments whether it worked or not!

Here are some nice “Counting Sheep” videos you can watch.

Here’s a lot of ewes.  Ewes are girl sheep!

Here is a song about counting sheep… Can you help count?

In the recording, we talked about rhyming words…..After a good night’s sleep, you can exercise to this fun song called Exercise, Rhyme and Freeze!

And lastly, here is an activity that you can do and make:

If you don’t have cotton balls, you can crumple up some tissue paper to make fluffy balls.  Enjoy!!

Have a happy day today!

It’s Double P.E. / Movement Day! (5/12)

We are sorry for the technical problems we had this morning during our zoom class time.  New things happen but we model how we would like our children to be–problem solvers, risk takers and life-long learners.  We also like to show them that exercising is important and it is fun!!

3 Year Olds (in Ms. Barbara and Mrs. Almoula’s group)

Something on the calmer side for you today!
