International Day

March 22nd was an electrifying day at Saint Maur: our biannual International Day celebration! The day was full of extra special color and excitement as students dressed up in spectacular costumes showing off a country that is special them and their families.

We had a costume parade…

A delicious potluck lunch…

A meet and greet with older and younger students…

…and so much more. Students participated in workshops prepared by faculty and parents, a musical assembly with Mama Melodia, and spectacle expertly performed by the Chinese parents. This was a highly memorable day in our 3rd grade year!

Animal Museum

The 4th Annual Animal Museum was a big success! Thank you to all those who were able to join us. The students were extremely excited to show off their learning. They were also wiped out by the end of the day. This was a terrific culmination to our research unit.

Preparing the museum exhibits

Showtime!

Pointillism

We had our first adventure exploring pointillism after learning a bit about the artist Georges Seurat. This painting technique took some practice, but students got the hang of it in time.

Animal Museum: Next Week!

Please join us to celebrate third graders’ learning about how to research. Students have worked very hard to research and present an exhibition to share with the school community.

Slime Day!

The latest Fun Day had a messy theme – slime! Students created slime buddy characters, wrote stories about them, made Gloop or Oobleck, watched a funny movie, and of course, played with slime.
