Writing Workshop with Adam Gidwitz
Grade 9 students were treated to a writing workshop with Newbery Honored author Adam Gidwitz in the library yesterday. It was an honour to have Adam return to our school, after an initial visit four years ago, which was well-remembered by some of our students.
Over to Adam for the last word:
Reading is the cornerstone of a successful and meaningful life. No matter where you live, or what you do, your head will always be your home. Why not make it a rich and interesting place to live in? (With permission from http://mrschureads.blogspot.jp/2017/01/newbery-honor-author-adam-gidwitz.html)
Adam Gidwitz Visits Library
Yesterday we had the honour of hosting Adam Gidwitz in the library for a session with Middle School students. Adam talked about his Newbery Honored book The Inquisitor’s Tale (which is also on the Sakura list this year) and life in Medieval Europe, culminating in a question and answer session about writing, being an author and publishing books.
Adam’s books can be checked out from the library.
