Last week of Learning!

Historical Fiction Presentation
Students read their historical fiction books for their last writer’s and reader’s workshop unit. They worked with their book club members for presentations.

IPC Endangered Animals Art and Zoo designing project
Students drew and painted endangered animals of their choice. They learned several techniques to sketch the animals and learned how to use the pencils lightly to add some shadows and effects to the drawing.

After learning about animal classification, students worked with their groups to design their own zoo.
They presented their zoo and explained the importance of the zoo’s role to conserve and preserve animals.

5th Grade IPC Project

5th graders invited us to their “River Project” to teach us what they have learned for their last IPC Unit.
It is a great way to introduce students to what they will be working on and the expectations for next year.

Tiger Rising
Since today is the last day of classes, we decided to watch “The Tiger Rising” which is the mentor text we read in the first semester. Students were excited to see it as a movie as we all know the whole story. They all remembered details from the books and were able to recall a lot of the scenes from the book.

Yearbook Signing:

Since our yearbook hasn’t arrived, we decided to write messages to each other on colored paper.
Once the yearbook arrives, students are asked to glue it inside the book.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday!
