Busy Bees!

Students have been busy working on publishing their literary essay, creating slides for their presentation on their historical fiction book, and preparing for their Chapter review test on Polygons.

Book Club Presentations

For reader’s and writer’s, students have been assigned to read a historical fiction book. In writer’s they picked a character and wrote a literary essay about a character from the book. In reader’s, they formed a book club, and students were expected to read and exchange their thoughts about the book. Each book club group are creating a presentation about their book, and their goal is to encourage their classmates to read it.

Practicing drawing and identifying lines of symmetry
Students practiced drawing and identifying lines of symmetry on the board. Students saw how many logos could be symmetrical!

Thank you!

We, teachers, enjoyed all the dishes at our appreciation lunch!
Thank you so much for taking the time to cook and organize this lunch for us.
We are all grateful for all you do 🙂

Workshops
Today we had two groups who offered to give workshops/presentations for our class.
First group talked about science and how they can make Charcoal. They brought in samples of burnt wood which the class had the opportunity to smell it.

The next group gave a presentation on Basketball. They filmed themselves showing how to dribble, shoot and techniques for playing basketball.

As we are approaching our last week together as 4K, we hope we can end the last week with a lot of smiles and laughter!
