P.E. / Movement (4/24)

Apologies for forgetting to push the publish button for our P.E./Movement blog on Friday.  I’m sure the 4-6 year olds had good Language Arts Zoom Room Meetings on Friday.  Our week will start again tomorrow  Perhaps a little exercise before that might start the week fit and healthy!  (Ms. Sallie)

 

3 Year Olds (in Ms. Barbara and Mrs. Almoula’s group)

The three-year olds work hard on following directions and refining their coordination.  Here is a simple song/dance you can do!

4 Year Olds (in Miss Yuri and Ms. Hoshi’s group)

Continuing with our yoga, I am introducing you to Bug Yoga!

You are going to pretend to be a dragonfly, ladybug, snail, bee, and a butterfly. You can be creative and come up with your own bug poses! Feel free to share your poses to others by posting an URL of your pictures!

5 Year Olds ~ Pre-First Graders (in Mr. Dale and Mr. Myk’s group)

You can change the word Friday to Sunday or Monday (sorry everyone….)

Hey everyone! 

Today we will have Flashy Feet Fridays! On Flashy Feet Fridays, we will be doing activities to get our legs and feet, fast and strong. I have placed here some activities we can do to improve our lower body. You can do them as many times as you like and you can even ask others to do them with you. Soon enough, you will be able to do them quickly and develop strong and fast feet!

For this Friday’s Flashy Feet session, we will be reviewing how to do our bunny and star jumps and also get to know a few new moves!

Try to do each movement for about 30 seconds and then take a quick break to get ready for the next one! Repeat everything as many times as you want to get practice for those fast and flashy feet!

Here is this Friday’s practice:

-bunny jumps

-star jumps

high knees

sideways high knees

-hops
