This cat, painted by Miki F. (Grade 12) using watercolor, is shown with abstract patterns behind it. This artwork was inspired by an image of a cat Miki found online. She is satisfied with this piece, because she was able to step out of her comfort zone by drawing an animal. She normally draws human faces in her free time.
Connie K. (Grade 12) painted this piece using watercolor by observing a ceramic model of a bird during a watercolor lesson she took outside of school. She took the liberty to choose her own colors for the bird and the background. Connie is proud of this work, because she believes that she was able to skillfully blend the colors in the background.
