{"id":195,"date":"2020-03-11T23:17:59","date_gmt":"2020-03-11T23:17:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.stmaur.ac.jp\/mo\/?p=195"},"modified":"2020-03-11T23:17:59","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T23:17:59","slug":"thursday-march-12th-ms-sallies-story-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.stmaur.ac.jp\/mo\/2020\/03\/11\/thursday-march-12th-ms-sallies-story-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Thursday, March 12th ~ Ms. Sallie&#8217;s Story Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to Ms. Sallie&#8217;s Story Time!\u00a0 How are you all doing?<\/p>\n<p>My story for today is called,It&#8217;s Mine, a fable by Leo Leonni.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1uYX2AWpzcszY1Bz_2j0YeKZyFvynocOw\/view?usp=sharing\">It&#8217;s Mine by Leo Leonni ~ Click here to view<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here are some questions to think about&#8230;.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Do you remember what a fable is?<\/li>\n<li>What lesson is this story teaching us?<\/li>\n<li>Can you tell which statements are true or false-that means yes or no:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0In the beginning, Milton, Rupert and Lydia were friends.<\/li>\n<li>The water really belongs to Milton.<\/li>\n<li>Crow speaks to the three frogs about their quarreling.<\/li>\n<li>Rain falls and the water rises.<\/li>\n<li>The frogs thing that the toad is a rock.<\/li>\n<li>The frogs do not fight anymore at the end.<\/li>\n<li>They&#8217;ve learned to share.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Did you answer the questions well?\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure you did as you are all good listeners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now, here are some activities you can do.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.) Pass the Ice Cream = A Sharing Game<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will need<\/p>\n<p>* 2 or more players (your mom, dad, brothers\/sisters, friends, anyone!)<\/p>\n<p>* Paper, a little stiffer than regular paper, to make the cone<\/p>\n<p>* Crayons, colored pencils or something to color with<\/p>\n<p>* Some glue or tape to stick the cone together<\/p>\n<p>* A ball (light weight is good)<\/p>\n<p>-Put lines on a piece of paper like the lines on an ice cream cone and color if you wish.<\/p>\n<p>-Roll the paper into a cone and glue or paste it together.\u00a0 Your cone should be able to fit your ball.<\/p>\n<p>-Now, your ready to play!<\/p>\n<p>-Pass the ball to each other and try not to drop it!\u00a0 How can you share and help each other out?\u00a0 It is good to ask questions like &#8220;Would you like some ice cream?&#8221; and answer with a &#8220;Yes, please,&#8221; or &#8220;No thank you.&#8221;, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1VQCsVB7h0nB0fTjrUHrdO-ma7AT8mAIllUFWiBTIVt8\/edit?usp=sharing\">Pass the Ice Cream Photos &#8211; click here to view<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.)
