After a few lessons of working on their piece for the ES Spring Concert, 3RB + FS3 were excited to split into different teams today. Students were given the option to join a movement, recorder or xylophones group to work on specific aspects for the performance. It was great to see everyone working together so well and practicing hard!
In my class, every student learns every part and along the way they can discover which they enjoy the most/where they think their strengths are. Today, we split into groups for the first time (students chose their role) to play our arrangement of Simple Simon. So much fun!
Learning a new piece in Grade 4! I am so excited to see what the kids end up doing with this. I love watching the process from introducing the piece to working collaboratively and making the piece ‘our own’. Looking forward to sharing the final product!
Today in Music, Grade 3 talked about what it means to be in a band, including good listening and following the conductor. They learnt this piece in just one lesson and I’m very proud of how well they are all progressing on recorder!
