It’s the time of the year … we are cleaning up like crazy these days!
Thanks everyone for being such great team player.
Between November and February, I organised the Storytelling Mum programme during lunch time. We had mums coming in for grades 1-3 as well as French school. Students could sign up if they wanted to.
During the last period today we suggested activities that we could do for our learning. We came up with suggestions based on what we’ve been learning these days. After that we chose the activity by putting our name tags next to it.
Every year in fall / winter, the Japanese A students grow saffron flowers in the class as part of their learning. It’s now blossoming time. The best thing about saffron is that they don’t need water or soil to grow. And they have very beautiful flowers.
Today we happened to be doing the reflection for Writer’s Workshop, IPC as well as Maths. We have been looking at our performance from the beginning and comparing it with how we did at the end of the unit. We also wrote down our learning experience.
It is important to be a Reflective Learner not just because it’s one of our SMEOs, but also because we need to know where were, what we did to get us here, and what else we can do to take us further. It is a skill that we all need in order to become a Lifelong Learner.
Last week, Grade 3 had our first Art lesson and it was about ourselves. Children used various media (marker and water colour). They wrote words that represent them on their profile portrait.
