We spent the day learning about the boats that have been made in our very own port city of Yokohama. We have found out about the luxury liners that travelled the globe and helped the trade routes to America and the rest of the world. Exploring the ship and its old charms made us think about the Titanic which sank in 1912. As we have looked back at historical facts in our Reading and Writing Workshops, we continue to strengthen ways to improve our understanding of social studies.
