Extracurricular Activities

Students who have demonstrated commitment and passion in a particular activity, such as Student Council, sports, music, clubs, or volunteer work, will find that it enhances their admissions profile as well as enriching their lives and providing a healthy balance to their academic courses. However, there is no admissions advantage to simply accumulating activities. Quality of participation is far more important than quantity. In Grades 11-12, students will not have time to join many sports and clubs; they should begin thinking in Grade 10 about which ones they will concentrate on and which ones they will discontinue.
