In IPC we have been learning about Multiple Intelligence. We designed learning activities to match with certain Multiple Intelligence to make it easy for others to learn.
On Monday morning 3W had a fun morning of hunting text features all around the classroom. We had to match the name to the purpose and example of the text feature. Then we had to find 5 other classmates who agree with us.
Now everyone has a better idea about what different text features do and we are now learning how to use them in our informational writing.
Today we learned about the properties of 3D shapes (how many faces, edges and vertices) through a matching game. We thought that this matching game allowed us to learn in a bodily-kinesthetic way because we were moving around in order to match the description card with the picture card or the shape itself.
In Art we made some 3D shapes by folding up a piece of paper. We created our own characters. (Many pointed out the similarities it has with Minecraft characters.) We then described the properties of the shapes and named the shapes.
In IPC, we tried different learning styles. Yesterday we tried doing it musically by singing.
In IPC we have been learning about different style. Today we learned 3D shapes kinesthetically. We used our bodies to make different shapes. We started with some simple 2D shapes then proceed to more complicated 3D shapes.
